Brent Joseph is an Austin, Texas-based video editor with over twenty years of experience. He learned his craft by working as an assistant in the cutting rooms of David Fincher, Seth Rogen, and Larry Clark before collaborating as an editor on several features & TV episodes including: Queen of Paradis (Excellence in Documentary Feature Editing, Ashland Film Festival), Five Time Champion (SXSW), Shell Shocked (PBS), and MTV’s True Life: I’m Living in Iraq (Edward R. Murrow award for Best TV Network News Documentary). Brent's short form work includes trailers for American Horror Story as well as content for Microsoft. He works on a variety of projects all connected by his dedication to telling emotionally engaging and imaginative stories.

YOUNG MEN'S VOICES HAVE POWER
Y.M.V.P. chronicles the lived experience of four young men growing up in the toughest neighborhoods in New Orleans. Camp Restore, a non-profit in New Orleans East that had received a grant from the Kellogg Foundation, engaged these men to learn how to document their lives with video. Entrusted with 50 hours of their footage and the directive to make a feature, I was rewarded with the most challenging and gratifying projects to date.
